Kat is a former Sundance Institute fellow, two-time San Francisco Film Society grant recipient and Canon Project Imagination campaign leader. She wrote and directed the Ron Howard executive produced short The Rusted starring Josh Hutcherson and the award winning theatrical feature Hellion starring Aaron Paul and Juliette Lewis which played in competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Her TV credits include 12 Monkeys and Ava Duvernay’s Queen Sugar on The Oprah Winfrey Network, which she is currently the show runner of.
